Three weeks ago I was able to book an MP award flight to Honolulu through SFO. Later on I'll use 5000 miles on an Aloha inter-island flight from HNL to KOA. This is for a trip departing in mid-April.

Maybe you can book a flight to HNL first and then a seperate inter-flight to Maui. There are of course more flights going into HNL then Maui. Good luck.
