The IAH 757-200 flights as well as LAX-HNL can be replaced with the four former ATA 757-300s CO has an agreement with Boeing to acquire, along with all the new 737-900ERs.

Besides redeploying the remaining 757-200s from IAH back to EWR there's one place DL's new expansion is literally taking money out of CO's pockets.

DL's new flights from ATL to Luanda, Angola and Malabo, Equatorial Guinea and the Nigerian flights are hitting the biggest oil markets in West Africa. No doubt DL is going for Houston oil business, Sonair serves these flights nonstop from IAH. CO needs to find some long range aircraft soon and launch IAH-Luanda, Malabo, Nigeria, Dubai etc..
I can't see CO pulling the 752s off of LAX-HNL.

Sonair only serves Luanda out of IAH and I wouldn't say it's the greatest flight.

CO does need to expand but they are also waiting to see what the *A does for them.
