After doing some research, it seems that ANC to NYC is 3,370 miles compared to ANC to Chicago at 2,846 miles. A difference of only 524 miles. There are 2 wonderful nonstop flights to Chicago on 737-800s. Still say it would be a great idea for ANC to NYC. Give it a try AK. By the way, Kodiak to NYC would be even better (just kidding).
