I'll admit I still don't like the idea - one of the only advantages of being platinum is that on a not-too-crowded flight, you would get a relatively good chance of being in a quiet part of the cabin without too many people sitting there. This was particularly true on the 744 where people on the 'main' deck could not know there were seats available upstairs/ask for them. Now, I fear many people will pay the extra €50 to come to the upper deck with its various advantages and it won't be quiet anymore. Not a good idea...
