Whether it lowers the total ticket price or not I applaud them for hopefully reverting to honesty in advertising fares. AirAsia has been a trend setter in Asia lately. I hope this will set a trend back towards honest advertising. The whole RM1 fare, except it was really RM200 by the time you actually paid for it, nonsense was completely asinine and dishonest and reflected poorly on AirAsia. If it comes to RM200 total, that is an incredible value, why not point to the real price with pride instead of saying RM1 which everyone always knew was a lie anyway.
