Logged in as me, the seat was available. As a guest almost nothing was available, including anything in the "elite" zone. Called UA and they said on a 2-whatever-2 the window does not get a blocked aisle.</font>
I belive that's the ticket, they will only block middle seats
From their site:
When you choose a window or an aisle seat, we will try to place you next to an empty middle seat.
I think the key word here is middle.
