Last night I was staying at the Westin LAX. We had gone to sleep around 11:00. At 1:25 AM the alarm system was activated. An INCREDIBLY LOUD voice came out of the ceiling stating that emergency services were responding and that we would be advised of what was happening when the source was determined. Scared the $#%&% out of my girlfriend.

After another announcement we were told it was all clear... whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes.

I asked this AM and was told that they think someone in a non-smoking room was smoking.
