Yes very apt description ... beyond terrible. Transitting from T1 to T2 isn't that difficult, just a matter of collecting luggage etc and then taking a metered taxi to T2. I've done it a few times - don't know if its necessary, but I do usually provide a hefty tip to the driver over the metered fare (2-3x)as I feel a bit guilty about taking such short trip.
