And sometimes boycotts are the only thing that works. For those old enough to remember the lovely Anita Bryant Save Dade effort and the ensuing boycott launched against Florida Orange Juice (since she was the on camera spokesperson) and it worked pretty darn quick. She lost her contract, and to this day blames gays for ruining her career. Pardon me while I wipe away my tears.

We are facing the same situation here in Florida with Amendment 2 passing. Should we call for a boycott of Florida? It has been very difficult to identify the major donors since they were shielded by donating to the two main pro 2 groups. In the meantime, if you plan to visit Florida try and patronize a gay owned hotel and then only patronize gay friendly and gay owned businesses. At least that way you are sure you are not allowing someone who opposes our rights to profit off you.
