Q: rule 80 - will AA pay for hotel for overnight connection due to sched change?

I'm in a Q-class fare coming back from bze on feb 24, originally routed bze-dfw-sea. The bze-dfw was just moved back by 10 minutes, pushing the connection to sub 60 min in dfw, and that just doesn't work for an int'l connection. The dfw-sea was the last flight of the day and I was rebooked on the next morning's first departure.

Can I get AA to cover a hotel room? (i'm a grad student, i can't just drop $ on things like that)

Looking at different options, I could make flights that connect to sfo or lax and overnight there (free places to stay) and continue to sea in the morning (and do that either by bze-dfw or bze-mia) - will this be allowed when I call?

Would I be able to drop the I'm a AS MVP line to any effect?

Because it is a Q fare bucket, am I severely limited in what the results will be.... and in general, what is the best approach?

(I am limited in my departure time from BZE, so I cannot take anything earlier than the 2.30 to mia)
