unbelievably bad call center in Europe

Hi!
I tried to book TXL-CDG-LAX-MEX; CUN-LAX-CDG-TXL in A class last summer, using the European call center of AF (I'm based in Berlin). The leg from CUN to LAX was supposed to be with Alaska Airlines. The itinerary was confirmed, tickets were issued. THEN - I had to change the date of the return flight and the rep cancelled my flight, claiming, it had been confirmed by mistake, because it wasn't possible to fly on an Alaska flight just one way! Can you believe that? The whole itinerary gone! Everyone I asked of the FB reps gave me a different information, I ended up believing, they just don't know the rules of their own program, themselves.

However, I am now holding two A tickets for TXL-CDG-LAX ret for next summer and I'm not gonna change anything about them, this time.
