Cannot help on the hotel issue as I never had to stay in the end.

Next day on UA803??? That sound ludicrous. There is an earlier NH service to SIN. Even if they just offer coach you should take that one. It will bring you in in the afternoon and is really nice.

Also - what I did twice before and it never occurs to the UA crew - BKK runs 24h and the UA service NRT-BKK often is really, really late. On both my severe delays ex LAX this year, I could connect to the BKK bird, spend about 4h in the lounge in BKK (including shower + food) and then hop on the very early connection to SIN on SQ or TG. That would save you the whole day and maybe you can cancel one hotel night in Singa.


P.P.S - noticed that it might be a bit later for the OP for this advice ... still in NRT they can transfer you to whatever service you feel fine with.

Try if they can put you on the BKK bird.

P.S. BKK-SIN is just 80 mins, so it doesn't matter if you suffer in coach for that hop.

P.P.S. just noticed that this advice might be a tad late for the OP - when you arrive in NRT they will have your hotel ready for you .. all very efficient. But you can still opt to hop on any other service.
