thanks for the tip. i'll look out for the leisure saver rates. the booking that i mentioned above was £59 for two nights including vat and breakfast, whereas the best available rate is £107 for two nights, so it's £5.50 per night more than half price. the £5.50 difference is not the vat. could it be the cost of breakfast?
