My advice would be to put together a transcon MR to more than cover the difference in the worst-case scenario some day when you have the time (I'm doing RDU-JFK-SFO-PDX-LAX-MIA-RDU for 7500+ EQM). It will be much easier than trying to extract the most out of each of your trips when you are pressed for time due to other commitments. Just a thought.
