UA came through. I kept at it. Somehow some C seats were released and I now have my original seat back again - for now. Thank you UA!

This is a typical pure mileage run - BOS-SIN-BOS with 6 hours in the transit hotel at SIN before coming back. Luv those bonus miles and my 1K status!
