The HLE I use (GON) recently started adding an "energy surcharge" of $1.03 to each rental. I keep forgetting to ask them about it so I just looked on hertz.com and found no mention of it. Has anyone else seen this and know the details? It seems to me that the recent substantial rental rate increases should more than cover any increase in their electric bills. Adding a surcharge on top seems uncalled for.
