Your observations fail to also see that similar situations are happening to other airlines in asia in this economic climate. The above situation is not partial to QR but to most ME and sub-indian carriers. Pity that no politician can affect the decisions of airlines eg Jet Airways.
For me (and hopefully for others), it was something that caught my attention (apologies if it didn't catch yours). Yes, similar topics may have been discussed under other threads but variations on a theme come up frequently.
Similar things may be happening in other airlines (not EK or EY however according to friends there). Absolutely agree with your final comment re the politicians.
