For the first time, I should make Platinum by the end of the year. I am currently Gold, and have never made it past Silver until now.

Especially in light of the program changes, what advantages remain for Platinum status, as opposed to Gold? I know Platinum members are higher on the upgrade list.

What other perks do Platinum members enjoy that Gold members do not? I know the bonus mileage will be the same next year. What would I have to look forward to as Platinum?
