FWIW: I had 2 colleagues from PHL in town this week and they stayed at The Nines. Both were very complementary of the staff, rooms, workout room and breakfast service. Said they much prefer it to the Westin and Hotel Monaco where they normally stay when in PDX. They said it was "approaching a Four Seasons or Ritz experience." Their only complaint was that the service was "a little too eager." I guess if that's the worst complaint that's not too bad!
