Don't want to take the Vaporetto with luggage, but there is one downside to the water-taxi from airport to hotel option.
Somebody in my party has a tendency to get sick on boats.
Is the ride from the airport real rough? I guess all water taxis have benches that one could lay down on to ease any nausea ...
Is it preferable to take a regular taxi to P. Roma and then a water taxi from there to the hotel? Can a land taxi pull up close to where the water taxis leave? I assume the water taxi would drive slower on that route inside the city?
Anything else I should consider?
Thanks a million ...
water taxi runs very fast from airport, unless fog.
vaperetto from P roma is not bad, cause the old #1 sort of starts at p roma.
you will pay almost as much for water taxi from p roma to hotel as from airport to hotel, unless hotel is within walking distance, in which case, walk.
they were going to chip the taxis. do not know if they have yet. they have to hold speed to slow creep. have great view of grand canal cause it takes so long.
if you have a lot of luggage, and have a lot of bridges to cross(no pun intended) from vapereto stop, it would be an additional reason to consider a taxi.
