Well, after reading 5 pages of very helpful information - let me ask all these kind and experienced folks here for some details that I haven't found yet ...

Don't want to take the Vaporetto with luggage, but there is one downside to the water-taxi from airport to hotel option.

Somebody in my party has a tendency to get sick on boats.

Is the ride from the airport real rough? I guess all water taxis have benches that one could lay down on to ease any nausea ...

Is it preferable to take a regular taxi to P. Roma and then a water taxi from there to the hotel? Can a land taxi pull up close to where the water taxis leave? I assume the water taxi would drive slower on that route inside the city?

Anything else I should consider?
