One more.....what if you use the same PNR to rebook a more expensive refundable flight? Does the entire price of the ticket go back on your credit card?

example

Old PNR worth $100
New intinerary costs $500
I pay additional $400 with my CC

What happens if I need a refund...do I somehow get a $100 cert?
