To be fair, the fare basis codes that Silver Wings fares are in are the following:

VLX55APN,VLW55APN,VKX55APN,VKW55APN,VHX55APN,VHW55 APN

which means they are in a typically much higher class than the current low S fares to Europe).

That said, while Silver Wings fares may not be cheaper than the sale fares, they should be comparable to or better than the V fares out there (comparing apples to apples).

In the end, it means that Silver Wings passengers actually get MORE availability because the booking class of this product is currently TWO classes higher than the fairly limited S class. Remember, when S class sells out, the cheap sale fare no longer applies and the comparable V-class non-sale fare is higher than S.

Lastly, these fares are available for travel from January 4, 2004 with travel complete by March 31, 2005. That means Silver Wings travellers who wish to purchase advance tickets for far in advance may do so. Sale fares usually have limited travel periods typically not beyond 2-3 months from the time the sale exists. I'm sure you've all tried to buy Europe fares in January for travel much later in the year. Without sale fares, these fares are very high when purchased 4-6 months in advance. With Silver Wings, you may even purchase tickets this year for travel NEXT spring if you so desire.
