I'm suprised that, when Le Méridien came into the fold, lounge access wasn't added as a benefit for Platinums staying at that chain. Its market position is roughly the same as Westin/Sheraton. In practice, many Le Méridiens choose to offer the benefit anyway. It's a pity it's not officially guaranteed.
