This, however, only works if you manage to spread the point accumulation in exact 12-month periods of 60 and 120 kilometres. If you qualify earlier, a new gold qualification period starts next month, and you'll have less than 2 years to earn the 180 miles. For example, assuming that kilometrage accumulates evenly, i.e. 7500km per month, you'll hit silver after 8 months, and then would only accumulate 90k in following 12 - not enough to reach Gold.

Or, other way around: You need average 8750km / month to requalify for gold. If accumulated on other card, this will get you to Silver in 7 months (and some kms 'wasted'). The following 12 months will yield 105k - still not enough to gold.

But do you think the points will appear in your account if there's a name mismatch? Problems enough to get them posted with all documentation bearing identical person details...
