I happened to be seated in a cube at the MIA AC next to a some folks who were in charge of rolling out the new food options at the AC and could've sworn I overheard them saying that one of their team was enroute to SJU. Not that I was trying to snoop but my ears did perk up when I heard them talking about AC planning etc. I can't imagine they'd close the SJU club if they are going to be doing this. Also, it is now the only club in SJU...that instantly makes it more valuable to AA as if I was an SJU flyer I had a choice between CO/DL and AA I'd probably lean towards the airline with the club all else being equal. The SJU terminal kind of sucks so a club is very valuable.

Other gossip: I also overheard some grumbling about how they want to introduced upscale, higher priced wines in the AC's but one limiting factor is the "free" voucher's for alchohol they give to TA passengers. If they are selling $15 glasses of premium wine's those vouchers all of a sudden get a lot more expensive and I overheard that premium services said they absolutely did not want to put restrictions on the vouchers.

I feel a bit dirty as I kind of overheard this on accident, but I guess a lot of news stories come about that way
