Right. If a credit to the credit card is "rejected", they have to send you a check. They can't only offer you a voucher on a refundable ticket. You can certainly get a voucher if you want though, but I wouldn't.
I'm doing it because the ticket is almost $6K and I need to buy another one for $7.5K. Getting a check might take a long time and I'd rather have these $6K applied to $7.5K ticket rigth away.
