This type of upgrade certificate transfer has been done many times with the North American Confirmed E-upgrade certs (HK49s) using the same method. However, the problem we have run into is that if the original itinerary where upgrade cert transfer is changed, the upgrade request is lost. I have encountered this on the receiving end myself.

I am in hopes that UAl M+ will allow the owners of certs to transfer the ability to transfer the Electronic HKs and SWUs into whom ever account we wish, at least members with same flying status (ie: 1Ks). That would certainly eliminate a great headache that we have encountered.
