Smile There are alterntives on some routes
The PREM+ product from OpenSkies (BA's new subsidiary) is the answer to this problem on the Paris-NY and AMS-NY routes. Their PREM+ product is a premium economy product at a price that other airlines charge for full economy and the product compares very favorably with other airline business class products. I strongly suggest you take a look. And Executive Club miles to boot!
