The funny thing is that people pay for this not realizing that if you plan in advance you can find LAX-MNL on NW for not much more, in a significantly better C class.
My usual route is NW IAH-DTW-MNL (via NGO/NRT) on a Z fare. My last one was $2810. NW has great biz fares to MNL, great seats, avod & better food that PR.
