Alot of people went into burn mode a few years ago, when it looked as if US would turn out the lights at any day.

If you are saving your miles for a specific goal, and you don't have enough saved up yet, I would keep working toward that goal, and not panic at this time. If fuel were still at $140/bbl I would say otherwise.
