It is certainly possible that award requirements will change for the worse, however, it's extremely unlikely that US will leave *A. I believe that one of the conditions for allowing CO to join *A was that US will remain for at least another 5 years. I also cannot see them voluntarily leaving because of the advantages they receive from it.
