UA 806 SIN-HKG on Jan 1, 2004 was almost full. FO made specific point of pointing out that this was the first flight of 2004, systemwide.

The service was quite unexceptional, with at most the one good crew member in C who stood out. A number of the others were argumentative if, from time to tome, smiling. Fortunately no FA was wearing overpowering floral scent, unlike my JFK-NRT flight last month.

Channel 9 was purportedly on, but no sound came through on 9.
