The point is that in the U.S. there is no "transit" as in some other countries. Everybody first clears U.S. Immigration and Customs after landing; thus, there is no access to the international terminal. Hope that helps to clarify.

Cool...thanks. I guess I was thinking of IAD where after you clear I&C you likely end up in the same gate area (Gates C and D) as the international flights and thus have the same RCCs. Thanks for clearing that up!
I used SFO back in the day before the "new" terminal was complete. Must be nice. I hear BART even goes to the airport these days.
