If this is the only reason you're carrying a USB drive, why not just email it to yourself at a gmail account, and then it's always there. After you're done using it, just mark it as "unread" and it will stay at the top of your gmail account.

I assume this would work with any other web-based email. In fact, you could get a hotmail/gmail address and only use it for this if you wanted.
