According to Amadeus, 747s are not that uncommon in SHA (Hongqiao) since the type (regular or combi) seems to be fairly often used for at least flight 1590 (SHA-PEK) which is the one we´re taking. When I booked, flight was listed as regular 747 but it has now changed to 747 combi. Anyway, will hope for new seats.
