Sometimes, I park at PARK ONE which is just adjacent to Terminal 1. This lets you avoid all the crap associated with shuttles, etc. While you can certainly take the Park One shuttle (if you have a lot of bags), I typically pack light enough so that I can walk to the T1 parking and cross the bridge to T7. This is almost as convenient as parking at the terminal for 1/2 the price (plus, they give a 20% discount with your Southwest FF Card, and a 10% discount for UA).
