Or one of the local hotels.

They'll drop them right off at the terminal door.

Well, that would have been easier for you, but not for them. EVERYONE had to wait in line that day - including the shuttles. Traffic was a nightmare. The problem was what I alluded to earlier - the shuttles drive you to the departures level which was impossible to navigate. Simply choosing the level "against the flow" (In the case of the 24th - Arrivals) will help people tremendously. It's also wise to spend a bit of time on LAX's website to check out the multiple entrances to LAX, and use the one that seems to be the most obscure. Again, once you get dropped off, it's easy.

Another tip (man, I visit LAX too often -The parking garages for T1 and T7 are actually connected via a bridge on the 3rd level. If traffic is bad at either terminal and you need to park (or worse yet if T1 parking is closed but T7 is open or vice versa - which has happened) You can enter in T7 (or T1), go to level 3, and take the bridge right over to T1 (or T7) parking.

It's also handy if you have to cross terminals. Walking from T1 to T7 is a breeze if you know about that bridge.
