poor luggage handling

I had a stopover yesteray at LAS, which I had to sit in the cabin and wait for the next segment to board. While waiting, a 737 pulled into the next gate and I had opportunity to watch LAS ground crew unload luggages with the most perfect view (instead of looking at it from the terminal window as I would normally). SWA ground crew was fast compared to other airlines probably because they have little time to turn a plane. The ground crew was throwing luggages like there is no tomorrow. Several times, he missed and the the luggage rolled/bounced off the conveyer belt and hit the ground. Having had many opportunities to watch other airlines (with less time constraints) to unload, I was simply blown away by this abuse. In fact, the GC unloaded a few strollers first, and he simply threw them out of the cargo door without much as looking at where he was throwing. To his credit, he was on his knees, so it probably wasn't the most comfortable position to be in. Suddenly, I understand why my high-quality made-to-be-durable luggage does not survive a few trips on SWA, checked in, without something gets damaged. The priority for SWA GC is to turn the plane within the time constraints and giving reasonable care to customers' luggages clear wasn't on the top of the list.
