There are many threads on being able to receive EQM credit on UA and another carrier when rebooked due to irregular operations; a seach for "double dip" should return some of them.

To answer the OP's question, I was on a same day MR recently and missed the last leg due to a mechanical problem. The compensation I received was straight out of the profile posted above.
