No nebuliser or personal humidifier allowed to be operated on board

Hi,
does anyone have any information relating to this,my wife sometimes needs a nebuliser for her asthma and has never had a problem with many airlines.
Taken from Cathay Pacific web site:
http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_...000ad21c39____

"With immediate effect, passengers should be aware that the following devices are not allowed to be operated on board any Cathay Pacific or Dragonair flights:

* Nebulisers (open-circuit type)
* Personal Humidifiers*

Potential increased risk of respiratory disease transmission on board has been associated with use of nebulisers, humidifiers, vaporizers or other similar devices in-flight.

Please discuss the details with your physician."

If other airlines follow suit then unless we can find an alternative then our flying days are over!!!!!!
