I don't know what you said in your blog, so I can't comment on your case.
However, I think VS had every right to fire them. The bad PR would be reinstating them. It would indicate that VS has the same additude toward their customers.
I also think that saying anything about your employer in such an internet public forum shows a less than an intelligent, or lack of, "think it through" before you hit the upload command.
Before people start saying "they have the right to...", I agree. VS also has the right to fire them.
