This seems rather odd, how much cheaper can it be? It must cost quite a bit to get it aloft and carry it transcon.
Does this really make sense?
When we ferry fuel, we'll see a list on the flight plan on how much/gal it is in SFO and then in IAD, helps us see the economic savings by the ferry. It is done quit often when there is a large difference between the two stations. SFO must have cheap gas right now because I tend to ferry fuel out of there quite a bit.
