I have been told by several AC reservations agents over the years that a Hindu meal may be Indian, but it does not have to be vegatarian. I have not requested such a meal, so I can not comment on the accuracy of such announcements.

The question is whether a hot Asian vegetarian meal is Indian, or is of some other Asian nationality (assuming there is such a thing as non-Indian Asian vegatarian meals).
