Why the huge price difference when changing Pickup/Return times to xx:30
I read in the forum about Alamo charging much larger rental fees when you put in your pickup time for say 1:30 pm. However when you change the time to say 1:00 pm. the price drops drastically.

I was getting a hefty charge of 429$ for a week with National at CLT when I put in a pickup time of 3:30 pm. I then tried the same EXACT dates and changed the time to 4:00pm.

Magically the price went down to $278.

Why on earth do the companies pull these crazy stunts.

So people, who are not aware --- change your time to always end in xx:00.
