What's with this 'early departure fee' on best flex rate?
Of late, I have noticed, when booking best flexible rate that there is an 'early departure fee' (in the case of my last booking of £50).
Either the rate is flexible or it is not. I can change the booking before I check in without penalty, why should I not be able to to change it after I have checked in?
It should be renamed to semi-flexible or something! This really deters me from booking IHG properties if there is a possiblity I will need to check out early.
Why do they do this?
