Agree on the rather oppressive "gold and red velvet" decorative style but once you get over that, the quality of accommodation and service are very high indeed. Also as an added plus you will only have a short way to go to partake of the gastronomic feast which takes place each Sunday at the Brasserie, a "must go" Sunday Brunch.
