Impossible. Even if you are connecting with an hour between flights, US authorities will force you to go through immigration, pick up your luggage and go through customs, and then go through security. No way around this. Even passengers flying from London to Auckland on the same plane have to get off at Los Angeles and clear customs, reclaim and re-check their bags. No US airport has a true "Transit hotel" and if they had existed the US Government would have closed them.

If you think you may have issues entering the US, or need a visa and don't want to go through the application process, try getting a flight to somewhere else nearby and picking up a connecting flight (which you may will need to buy separately). For example, fly via Mexico City.
