My SFO-SYD-SFO flights cleared at the gate in both directions last month, leaving me hanging until boarding was about ready to start. There's been many posts here that they're holding more revenue seats now until date of departure, though my perception is that most of us have been clearing the list (at least from the posts here on FT).
