I might (most homes are nicer than hotels), but I do not think that I would burden family (if I had any) with my work-routine: getting up at 5AM, requesting the concierge to organize restaurant bookings, meeting rooms and such, room-service when I come home after a long day in the field and just want to watch TV in my room in a bathrobe while eating a club sandwich, and without doing the dishes.....
Not to mention meetings with colleagues in the hotel-lobby or hotel-restaurant "Sorry aunt Beth, could you turn off the TV and vacate the living-room, I need to spend 3h this evening with mr. Smith here, and you're being too noisy. Ohh, and make sure the kids keep it down, will you, and we could use some food...."
I'd have to adopt more "human" behavior if I was staying in a private home, which likely would cost my employer about 4-8 work-hours/day. I like to think that my hours would be worth more than the few hundreds a night....

Also, I am not sure that most families take well to stealing of toiletries on a daily basis.
